Presented here are the top 15 things that must not be feared for an entrepreneur to become successful.

  • First and foremost, you cannot be afraid to fail. Many times, failure is only a pointer to success,  means to look at what did not work in order to more clearly see what will work.
  • Never fear taking money for doing what you love. It can often times feel counter-productive to accept wages, especially exceeding high wages, when at the end of the day you’ve spent the day doing something you genuinely enjoy.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for a discount when conducting business. The most successful people in the working world live by the motto “Business is business”, and that means the bottom line is all that matters after all the smoke clears.
  • Don’t worry about your competition taking you over. In fact, it is often good business to remain on friendly and even good business terms with your competition. It singles you out as being different than the rest.
  • Don’t have trepidation in regards to talking about yourself in a positive light. It’s perfectly okay to promote yourself and your business and present what you offer as being the best service or product. The key is making sure that what you offer is as good as what you say, or better.
  • Never fear the growth of your business. A business must expand and mature until it reaches its ideal size. The growth, in essence, has a life of its own. Don’t get in the way of this natural process by interfering or projecting your uncertainty by worrying about what will happen if it reaches this size, or that size. Let it grow.
  • Take advantage of newer and better technologies. If you are intimidated by new business science coming out, hire someone whose only job is to teach you how to work with what is new and assist you in overcoming any dread you may have about technology. It’s there to make your job easier. Fear of it will be a big hindrance to your business growth.
  • Hire top notch employees and pay them well. One of the biggest mistakes a business owner can make is hiring cheap help in order to cut corners. Well paid, knowledgeable employees who know they are valued at a business are generally engaged in their work and give their all. This is really one area you should not have any fear of investing in. You’ll get back much more than you put in.
  • Never be afraid to take stock in yourself, both financially, and emotionally. Think big and be big is the motto of every great entrepreneur. Expand the horizons of what you are open to.
  • Don’t fear thinking outside of the box; it’s what sets geniuses of business apart from the ordinary guys. Following the trends can only get you as far as those others have gone. Turn off that alarm inside of yourself that goes off when you start to color outside of the lines. Being outside of the box can be scary, but decide that for you, it’s not going to be.
  • Don’t worry about taking time to refresh. Take a sabbatical periodically and use the time to rejuvenate. If you’re worried about what’s happening while away, you’ll come back tense, needing more time away.
  • Enjoy the fruits of your success. Don’t be afraid to spend the money you’re making. That’s what it’s for. Use it to do things and buy things that really make you happy.
  • Don’t fear the risks. You’re not going to get to the top by taking big risks. Some of them are going to pay off and others are not going to pan out like you hoped they would. Belier in your choices and decisions and belier in your self is what will help you have the confidence to be a risk taker.
  • Be open to negative feedback from all areas. Closing yourself off from listening to what others are telling you only narrows your perception. Don’t be afraid to listen to people who hand out constructive criticism. View it as the flip side of what positive feedback has done to help you grow.
  • Never fear standing for ethics that you strongly believe in and incorporating them into your business practices. This will define your business in a personal way that other companies cannot or will not be willing to match.

The business playground is said to be a dog-eat-dog world. Watching others around you struggling can be discouraging and sometimes a deterrent to reaching success. Letting go of every fear that holds you back is the one thing that can launch you from ordinary to an extraordinary business person. Don’t let the fear of being fearless hold you back.
